History in the Making!
Alex's work-in-progress is a series of branching-plot novels for young readers, which are meant to be both engaging and educational, by allowing the reader to choose the role that they will play in historical events.
Alex attended Virginia Tech, from 2005 until 2010, where he studied History and Classical Studies. While attending college, he spent two years researching Marcus Atilius Regulus, a Roman consul and general, and his family’s impact on Roman history and politics. During his studies, he became intrigued by historians’ changing opinions and treatments of the historical figure, and the mythos that had defined his life and death. Later, through his study of the treatment Marcus Atilius Regulus received by artists, playwrights and poets, he developed a fondness of how the classical world is viewed through modern media, both in our present times, as well as in the past.
